Hello everybody!

I hope you're all well.

This is just a quick post to explain a few things. Firstly, I have started a new blog. This might come as a massive surprise to some, and may be of no surprise at all to others. I've decided to do this for a number of reasons including the following:

  • The motivation I have to post on this blog has diminished over time.
  • I have begun to find the content repetitive and get annoyed at myself when trying to write to it, and therefore just pretty much stopped writing altogether.
  • I am no longer happy with the layout and design of the blog, nor am I inspired by the URL.
  • I want a new outlet - somewhere to store new memories and exciting challenges going forward.
  • This blog is now full of things that, long story short, I'd rather forget.
Some great things have come from this little slice of internet, but I feel it's time to let it go and start a fresh.

I'm so appreciative of every single follower this blog gained. We managed to reach over 100 people, a stat I never thought I'd achieve, and I'm delighted that you all decided to read and engage with my content. Thank you!

If you'd like to follow me over to my new blog then please feel free, I'd love to see you:

All the love in the world,

My Month in Photos | January 2016

January was a very busy month for me.

At the beginning of January, I announced to my friends and family that I am now in a new relationship with the most wonderful human being, Ben. We officially became a couple on the 13th December, but didn't announce it to all the social media platforms at the time because he wasn't around for a majority of December. Since he returned to Canterbury at the beginning of January, however, the two of us have spent so much time together and it's been absolutely perfect. I've never been as happy as I am right now.

January has certainly thrown some tough times in my direction, too. It's not been an easy month for me (hence the very late My Month in Photos post - sorry!) but I'm back now, feeling much more confident and a lot stronger than ever. Together, Ben and I have dealt with rather a lot in the past month and I'm delighted to have had him by my side through everything. He really is my world.

Without further ado, here is my January 2016 in photos.

My Month in Photos | December 2015

My December was absolutely incredible this year. I've been feeling super festive and have had an amazing month full of good food, lots of drink and so much joy and laughter. I'm leaving December with some really positive memories and I'm thoroughly looking forward to 2016.

2015: A reflection

2015 was one of the strangest years of my life. It certainly had its down moments for me, but fortunately there were plenty of ups too.

This time last year I was still in sixth form, working towards my A2 levels and enjoying my free periods (perhaps a little too much) with the most amazing group of friends.

As the year went on, everyone became increasingly aware of two facts: 1) School, the place we'd all attended for a majority of our lives, was nearly over for good which meant 2) we had to make some pretty tough decisions about where to head next.

With no UCAS application submitted and no clue what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, I decided to look into apprenticeships. I actually did wobble on that decision a couple of times, particularly as people received uni offers and I was still unsure what I was going to be doing with my life.

Suffering from increasingly more frequent panic attacks for seemingly no reason was one of the hardest things I've ever faced. I'd struggled by myself for a long time but reached a point where I no longer felt able to fully cope. I headed to the doctors and was diagnosed with moderate-high levels of anxiety on 23rd March, and was referred for cognitive behavioural therapy.

The first CBT session I attended was terrifying, but after a couple of weeks I started to see the positive effects that changing my mindset could have on my life. I'm beyond appreciative of every single person who helped me through that.

In May, I applied for an apprenticeship in PR at a local agency and got called for interview. A couple of weeks later I was offered the position.

Knowing that I'd secured myself a job, I bought myself my very first car, a 2008 Vauxhall Corsa which I absolutely love. It's literally my baby.

Starting my apprenticeship on the 20th July (I don't think I'll ever forget that date) was the start of the most incredible journey for me. Not only has working full time forced me to grow up a lot, it's also given me some amazing opportunities. I'm currently working with a small but incredibly talented group of people who are so supportive of me and everything I do. They're the funniest bunch who make me laugh daily. I'm so lucky to have a job that I enjoy and an office full of warm and welcoming faces.

A level results day in August was awesome. I was super proud of myself for achieving ABC in RE, Media Studies and Photography, and was also super proud of all of my friends, who'd spend the whole year working their butts off to get into their universities of choice. It was a day of great celebration for us all, and probably one of the happiest days of the year despite the rain.

When some of my closest friends moved away in September, I started to feel a little lost. Being one of the few people still living in my hometown was tough. Fortunately, a handful of them really aren't too far away and even the ones who are are always at the end of the phone when I need them. I thoroughly look forward to them coming home and our meet ups are always brilliant.

Although the last quarter of the year was a bit of a mess as a long-term relationship ended, I was given the opportunity to start working on my very own account at work, something that I didn't anticipate would happen for quite some time being so inexperienced. I love it though, and I've really thrown myself into it. It's one of my greatest achievements to date.

I turned 19 in November! I can't believe that by the end of 2016 I'll no longer be a teen, where has the time gone?!

December 2015 was better than I ever could have imagined. I got to know one of the most amazing human beings in the world. In a very short space of time he reminded me how to be happy, restored my faith in humanity and proved that the most beautiful things can blossom at the most unexpected times. He's literally my best friend and I'm so lucky to have him in my life.

2016 looks set to be pretty positive for me, and I hope it's just as positive for you.

Happy New Year.

Liebster Award | Three

I've been nominated for the Liebster Award twice before, once in 2014 and once in early 2015. It recently came to my attention that I have been tagged again by the beautiful Tania from Tania Michele so I thought that today I would complete the questions that she put forward in her Liebster Award post.

01. Where is your favourite place to go with friends?
I'm a big fan of heading to a local pub with friends for a night out. I generally like the atmosphere in pubs, regardless of which pub it is - I'd rather go to a pub than a club.
If I'm meeting up with people during the day I'm a big fan of shopping. I've spent an ever-increasing amount of time at Bluewater shopping centre, and in Canterbury city centre.

02. What celebrity would you love to meet?
The celebrity I would most want to meet is Ed Sheeran. I think he seems like a really lovely man and I've loved his music since I first heard it.

03. Favourite drugstore makeup brand?
I use quite a variety of different makeup brands. I think that Revlon is the brand I own the most products from so I'll say that.

04. Last holiday destination?
The last time I went on holiday in the UK, I stayed in Uckfield and travelled to places like Brighton and Eastbourne from there. Before that, the last time I went out of the country I headed to Spain.

05. If you could be an animal, what animal would you be?
I think I'd probably become a penguin. Penguins are cute.

06. What time of year do you love the most?
I love winter because I really love getting into the festive spirit. I also really like summer because I love BBQs and days at the beach. I couldn't choose between the two really.

07. Do you currently have a job? If yes, where?
I'm currently an apprentice PR account executive at a small PR agency in my town - I love my job!

08. Favourite book you've ever read?
It has to be The Fault In Our Stars by John Green - what a beautiful piece of literature.

09. What do you do when you're not blogging?
When I'm not blogging, I'm usually working. If I'm not working then I'll usually be meeting up with or messaging friends, reading, watching TV or sleeping.

10. What item of clothing do you love?
I have a lot of pairs of shoes that I adore if they count. I also own a pair of black high-waisted ripped jeans and a grey crop top which I love wearing as well.

11. What blog post are you most proud of?
This is the post I'm most proud of - it's quite old now but it was my first ever review of a product I'd been sent.

Christmas 2015

This year for Christmas, I was lucky enough to receive some of the most incredible gifts that I'm super appreciative for. Like last year, I thought I'd write out a little haul and share some of the lovely gifts that I was given this year.

First of all, my parents bought me the Urban Decay Naked 3 eyeshadow palette, which is definitely one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The packaging is truly stunning and the eyeshadows themselves are amazing. I couldn't resist trying a couple out today for my boxing day look.
I might do a post on this by itself at some point in the future with swatches and opinions because this palette is definitely one of the best I've seen.

My parents also picked me up one of my favourite 'go-to' products. The POREfessional by Benefit has become a staple in my makeup bag, much to the despair of my bank balance. It was nice to receive this and know that I won't have to buy another one for a few months.

If you know me, you'll know my deep love for Ed Sheeran, so what better to receive than an Ed Sheeran 2016 calendar. The standard sort of present that I absolutely love. It'll be coming to work with me in the new year and going up behind my desk so I can stare at Ed all day when I should be working hard keep super organised!

My lovely sister and her boyfriend bought me some fantastic presents as well. The first, a Harry Potter 8-film collection was a brilliant little gift to open, particularly as I don't own any of them and have only seen half of them - time to watch the lot.

Kat and Mat also bought me Joe & Caspar Hit The Road, starring to fabulous YouTubers. I'm rather looking forward to watching it and seeing if it's as good as I've heard it is.

They also got me three candles. I think Kat said they came from an Etsy seller but I'm not sure which one. They come in three Christmassy scents - Christmas Memories, Christmas Splendour and Freshly Cut Xmas Tree.

To complete my ever-expanding collection of Rainbow Rowell books, they bought me Attachments. I'm super excited to read this, even though I haven't yet had the opportunity to read the little pile of books I was given for my birthday.

The final gift I received from Kat and Mat was this, the Zoella Beauty "Awesome Drawersome" collection.
This was a total surprise to me but I absolutely love it. It comes with two fizz bars, one body butter, a body lotion, a body soak/shower cream, a shower gel, a makeup bag and a shower lily, as well as a beautiful set of drawers that I'm going to fill with my lovely makeup products.

All in all, my Christmas was an incredible one. Not only did I get some lovely gifts, but I also had a generally very lovely day with my family, and received the nicest Christmas message at midnight which made the day truly special.

19th Birthday Haul

For my birthday this year, I was really fortunate to receive some absolutely lovely presents which I absolutely adore. I thought I'd write a quick blog post sharing some of the bits and bobs that I was lucky enough to receive.

From my parents, I received a handful of absolutely fabulous gifts including Ed Sheeran's "+", "Carry On" by Rainbow Rowell, a desk size cardboard cutout of Ed Sheeran and a bluetooth speaker.

My sister and her boyfriend also picked me up some really nice gifts including "Girl Online: On Tour" by Zoe Sugg, "Binge" by Tyler Oakley, three Revlon Colorburst balm stains and a toy penguin.

I got some lovely gifts from my wonderful friends as well. Sam bought me a copy of Jamie Lawson's self-titled album. Chelsea bought me a Yankee Candle reed diffuser in Midnight Jasmine. Daisy bought me a beautiful Christmas decoration and Amy picked me up a couple of French Connection lip products.

My colleagues at work also bought me a few gifts including a scented candle, hand cream and shower gels and a big box of chocolates.

My birthday this year was absolutely amazing. I was working all day, which I didn't think would be such an enjoyable way of spending the day.

I had two birthday cakes on the day - one giant Jammie Dodger at home and a chocolate cake at work. Both were delicious.
